I SURVIVED THIS SEMESTER!

Just checked my results. Was having really low expectation. This semester had been very tough.
Was surprise to see my results. Out of expectation. Well, Building technology and materials....TL???means incomplete, the whole class got this as our grade. Hilarious.

I will work harder and smarter next semester. As the saying,
''If you focus on results, you will never change. If you focus on change, you will get results.''

I dont really think about results when I was doing things. I focus on what I want and try to do the best out of it.Trying to focus on change.

A Study Trip to FRIM for Building Technology and Materials

It is a trip for us to understand more on timber materials and species that can be used as building materials. FRIM is a nice place to hike, although I have problem hiking it due to the lack of exercise. And our tour guide is an experienced forester, that 's why his pace was very fast. I was walking , climbing as fast as I can to keep up with him in order to listen to his explanation and also capture pictures.

It was a very refreshing trip. We as an architecture students need more exercise and outdoor activities, not always stay in studio and draw. Our lifestyle is already unhealthy thats why we need to do more to keep our health at the positive side.

Due to time constraint we are unable to have a workshop on glue laminated timber :(

The 'AVATAR' spot

Bamboo is a sustainable building materials because it is easy to breed, functional and flexible.

The 'Tarzan swing'

The 'WOW' spot
It is the Chalk tree ( kapur ). Canopy. It grows this tall to get sufficient sunlight.

It was a tiring and fun-filled day. It gives us a moment to relax while having our major project submission.

After months - a compilation of my story (I)

Well, this blog has been quite dead, didnt get to manage it because of my hectic university life, and blogging is never my passion. That's why it goes to the back of my to-do-list.

This semester has been torturing me a lot. With the forever unfinished workload, redo and redo mode, which makes me hard to breath and keep up the pace. but yeah, I survived! I promised myself to fight till the end. No matter what results I get, my goal is - at the end of the day, what I present is what I will be proud of.

These are some of the stories of this semester ;)

Dinner with AIESECers after Local Committee Planning Meet
It is a restaurant in Kajang, I always forgot the name of it ><>

Broga Hill Expedition with the AIESECers !!!LC Day!

I'm not a sports person. Thats why it is not easy for me to conquer it. Made I made it! We made it! This shows the power of team spirit!
We even have a square dance at the 1st peak!!! Everyone was looking at us! There was an uncle taking a video of us dancing! How cool! Epic! Crazy huh!

The weather was good. It started to rain when we were leaving. Lucky us! I feel healthier after this.

Thats it for the time being! TO BE CONTINUED

Singapore

After external review, few days of holiday is what I have.So I decided to visit my sister in SG and help her in house shifting from TH NUS to Bukit Batok( I cant help but laugh when I 1st heard of the place). Old flat, I dont really like the design of the flats there as there are less interaction between the neighbourhood. Each floor has 2 units and the doors are always closed.

The largest fountain in SEA.

I personally love this artwork.

HERE COMES THE ESPLANADE!

The artwork is totally made by white plastic bags, which really impress me alot as it functions as a decorative art as well as promoting environmental awareness.

Stairs + ramp :)
Good natural lighting and awesome structure. Love the detailing.

I personally love the detailing of esplanade interior more than its exterior.

Double helix bridge.
An overwhelming structural design. Walking along the double helix structure will surely bring you some inspiration.
But thinking about the people who have lost their life for this massive project...it makes me feel blue :_(

My mom was complaining that I didnt take a picture of her with this bridge. I feel so sorry but cant help it as I was busy snapping pictures before my battery turns to 0%.

I didnt get to go around this building as my mom was so tired and we were rushing to catch a taxi. I will definitely visit the building again next time to study the detailing of it:) ALONE
